We are expanding our Associate Editor team!

Journal of Medical Case Reports is recruiting Associate Editors to join our Editorial Board. As the growth of the journal continues, we must also ensure that it is able to cope with the increased submissions whilst maintaining our high editorial standards. Therefore, we are looking to expand our team.

Aims and Scope

Journal of Medical Case Reports will consider any original case report that expands the field of general medical knowledge, and original research relating to case reports.

Case reports should show one of the following: unreported or unusual side effects or adverse interactions involving medications; unexpected or unusual presentations of a disease; new associations or variations in disease processes; presentations, diagnoses and/or management of new and emerging diseases; an unexpected association between diseases or symptoms; an unexpected event in the course of observing or treating a patient; or findings that shed new light on the possible pathogenesis of a disease or an adverse effect.

Who are we looking for?

We are interested in clinicians who are engaged and are willing to handle a minimum of 3 new manuscripts per month within their field of expertise.

Applicants should have a minimum of 10 research papers published in reputable, peer-reviewed journals as first author, last author, or corresponding author. Experience as a Reviewer is favourable.

Role and Responsibilities

The role of Associate Editor is held by an academic or clinician who is working in a relevant area of research. The Associate Editor is primarily responsible for checking the suitability of manuscripts within their field of expertise, guiding them through the peer review process, and providing final decision recommendations on the basis of the peer reviewers’ reports and their own assessment while adhering to the journal’s editorial policies. Associate Editors are provided administrative support by our in-house Editorial Office.
