Procedure for wide resection of the femur. Solid (yellow) lines are resection lines on T2-weighted images. En bloc wide resection of the sarcoma included the quadriceps femoris and skin. Tumours were severed 20 mm proximally, 20 mm distally, and 20 mm dorsally and included the reactive layer. The rectus femoris, vastus medialis, sartorius, and vastus intermedius were separated at the tumour’s maximally bulging region.
