Hematoxylin and eosin staining shows in (a) a poorly circumscribed nodular lesion arising within dermal and subcutaneous tissue that appeared completely excised (1× objective); in (b) the lesion is composed of a proliferation of polyhedral cells with abundant granular cytoplasm and small, uniform, dark nuclei, arranged in nests, and single cells surrounded by fibrous connective tissue.
