This three-dimensional reformat of the original contrast-enhanced computed tomographic scan shows the aortic root at an orientation similar to that of the transesophageal echocardiogram in Figure 2. Aortic motion artefact blurs the aortic wall (arrowheads). The lines above the aortic valve (arrows) cannot be explained by the valve leaflets and represent the dissection flap.
