The planning target volume (thick red line) covered the gross tumor volume plus an appropriate margin and was treated with a total dose of 60 Gy at 2 Gy per daily fraction over 6 weeks (BED ₁₀ 72 Gy). Radiation dose distribution represented by radiation isodose lines: The thick red line represents the planning target volume and the thick green line represents the 57 Gy isodose line (that is 95% isodose, encompassing planning target volume). One cm thick bolus material was used to ensure sufficient surface dose.
