Clinical course of the lesions as seen on gadolinium-enhanced T1-weighted magnetic resonance images. Brain abscesses were located in the right occipital lobe (1a–4a), left occipital lobe (1b–4b), and left parietal lobe (1c–4c) on the day of admission (1a–1c), at 8 days after admission (2a–2c), at 13 days after surgical aspiration (3a–3c), and at 4.5 months after onset (4a–4c). Each brain abscess was enlarged after admission (2a–2c), reduced after surgical aspiration (3a–3c), and eventually disappeared (4a–4c)
