Image at the level of the brainstem demonstrates a hyperdense basilar artery (orange arrow), which in the appropriate clinical setting is concerning for occlusion of the basilar artery due to thrombosis. Also, note that the pons (red arrow) is slightly decreased in attenuation compared with the surrounding brain parenchyma, concerning for ischemia. This finding is slightly more prominent on the left side
