  1. Blood samples were taken at 0 (just before) and at 30 and 60 min after synthetic adrenocorticotropic hormone 1–24 (cosyntropin hydroxide 0.25 mg) was intravenously administered in the morning (9 a.m.). The patient had a low plasma adrenocorticotropic hormone level (2.3 pg/ml) and low plasma renin activity (< 0.2 ng/ml/h) just before cosyntropin administration
