Mixed phase (hepatic arterial phase/portal venous phase during hepatic enhancement) of the split-bolus multidetector-row computed tomography shows a higher attenuation of the portal vein and liver parenchyma with respect to that of the portal venous phase of the triphasic multidetector-row computed tomography protocol.
