There were nodular lesions measuring up to 1 mm in size, containing well-formed, non-necrotizing, epithelioid cell granulomas, various types of inflammatory cell infiltration including eosinophils, and exudates of fibrin. These were randomly distributed in the central air spaces of the lung.
