Center: the solid mass is composed of numerous multinucleated giant cells in a background of middle-sized cells (H&E, original magnification 20×). Bottom: at higher magnification, the background spindle-cell component is seen to be composed of mononuclear spindle-shaped or oval-shaped cells, with eosinophilic cytoplasm and oval nuclei without atypia (H&E, original magnification 40×).
